Our story
Built one client at a time
Mark Patty & Associates is a tax preparation, bookkeeping and payroll office in Shelby, North Carolina, led by Enrolled Agent Mark Patty and serving Cleveland County since 2001.
Mark Patty started the firm in 2001 as Southeastern Financial Resources, LLC, in an office at 421 South Lafayette Street here in Shelby. Clients who have been with us for years say it best: they know who is handling their taxes, and they come back.
In 2018 we moved to our current office at 724 South Morgan Street and changed our name to Mark Patty & Associates, LLC, a name that better reflects who clients work with and the full range of services we offer.
Today we help Cleveland County families, retirees and small businesses with tax preparation, bookkeeping, QuickBooks, payroll and tax planning, and we stand beside clients when the IRS comes calling. Most of our clients live nearby, and we also work with clients across the United States by phone or video call and through our secure client portal.
